Provider Rules
1. Your Role as a Service Provider
QuickConnekt is a platform that connects customers with independent service providers. Providers are responsible for the services they advertise and deliver to customers.
Using QuickConnekt does not make you an employee, agent, partner, or representative of QuickConnekt unless a separate written agreement expressly states otherwise.
You are responsible for operating your service business lawfully and for meeting any professional, regulatory, licensing, tax, insurance, or other requirements that apply to your business or services.
2. Provider Account Requirements
You must provide accurate and truthful information when creating and maintaining your provider account.
This includes, where applicable:
- Your correct name and contact details.
- Your business name and business information.
- Your service category.
- A clear description of the services you offer.
- Your service location or operating area.
- Accurate payment and payout information.
- Any other information reasonably required by QuickConnekt.
You must update your information when it changes. You must not create misleading provider profiles or impersonate another person or business.
3. Services You List
Every service you list on QuickConnekt must accurately describe what you actually provide to customers.
Service listings should clearly communicate:
- What the customer is booking.
- The applicable price or pricing structure.
- What is included in the service.
- Any important limitations or requirements.
- Where the service is available.
- Any information a customer reasonably needs before booking.
You must not advertise a service that you do not intend or are not able to provide.
4. Service Images and Content
Images and descriptions used for your services must accurately represent the services you offer.
You must have the right to use any photographs, logos, descriptions, trademarks, or other material that you upload to QuickConnekt.
You must not upload content that is unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, abusive, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise prohibited by QuickConnekt.
5. Service Quality
You are responsible for delivering the service substantially as advertised and booked by the customer.
You should:
- Arrive or become available at the agreed time.
- Provide the agreed service professionally.
- Use reasonable care when providing the service.
- Communicate material changes to the customer.
- Complete the service before marking the booking as completed.
You must not falsely mark a booking as completed when the service has not actually been completed.
6. Booking Responses
Providers are expected to monitor their QuickConnekt account and respond to booking requests within a reasonable period.
You should accept or decline bookings based on your actual availability and ability to provide the service.
Repeatedly accepting bookings and then failing to provide the service may result in account restrictions or other action under the Terms & Conditions.
7. Customer Communication
Communication with customers must remain professional, respectful, and relevant to the booking.
You must not:
- Harass, threaten, intimidate, or abuse a customer.
- Use discriminatory language or behaviour.
- Misrepresent the service or its price.
- Pressure a customer into purchasing unrelated services.
- Attempt to obtain sensitive personal information unnecessarily.
- Use customer information for unrelated purposes without a lawful basis.
8. Payments Through QuickConnekt
Where a customer chooses card payment through QuickConnekt, the customer pays through the QuickConnekt payment process.
Providers must not instruct customers to make an alternative payment outside the QuickConnekt process for the purpose of avoiding applicable QuickConnekt fees, commissions, or payment rules.
Any applicable payment-processing fees, commissions, subscription charges, or other charges are determined by the applicable provider plan and QuickConnekt terms.
9. Provider Plans
Subscription Plan
Providers using the subscription plan may be charged a monthly subscription fee of R79, subject to the applicable pricing displayed by QuickConnekt.
Subscription providers may also be subject to the applicable QuickConnekt commission on eligible customer card bookings.
The current subscription payment terms include a two-day grace period for applicable subscription payments. QuickConnekt may restrict account functionality where a subscription remains unpaid after the applicable grace period.
Commission Plan
Providers using the commission plan do not pay the monthly subscription fee but are subject to the applicable QuickConnekt commission on eligible bookings.
The commission plan may require customer bookings to be paid by card through QuickConnekt.
The applicable commission percentage will be displayed to providers in the relevant QuickConnekt provider information or registration process.
10. Deferred Provider Payouts
A customer card payment does not automatically mean that the provider receives the provider portion immediately.
QuickConnekt may hold or defer the provider payout until the applicable booking conditions have been satisfied.
The intended payout process is that the service is completed first and the customer then confirms completion. If the customer does not respond, the applicable response-protection process may allow the booking to become eligible for payout after the relevant period.
Where a customer reports an issue, payout may be delayed while the matter is reviewed in accordance with the applicable QuickConnekt policies.
11. Accurate Completion Status
You must only mark a booking as completed when the booked service has actually been completed.
False completion confirmations, fraudulent booking activity, or attempts to trigger an improper payout may result in account restrictions, cancellation of payouts where permitted, or termination of the provider account.
12. Postponements
If you cannot provide a service on the originally agreed date or time, you should use the QuickConnekt postponement process where available.
You should provide the customer with a clear reason for the postponement and propose an appropriate alternative date and time.
You must not repeatedly postpone bookings without a reasonable business or service-related reason.
13. Rebooking
Where a customer accepts a postponement and chooses to rebook through the QuickConnekt rebooking process, the provider must honour the rebooked booking according to the updated date and time.
A rebooking made through the applicable QuickConnekt process is not a new booking merely because the date or time has changed. Providers must not improperly request a second payment for the same booking.
14. Cancellations
Providers should avoid cancelling accepted bookings unless there is a genuine reason they cannot provide the service.
If you need to cancel, you should do so through the QuickConnekt booking system as soon as reasonably possible and provide accurate information about the reason where requested.
Repeated provider cancellations may affect your account and may result in restrictions under the Terms & Conditions.
15. Refunds and Customer Disputes
Providers must cooperate with reasonable QuickConnekt investigations relating to cancellations, refunds, payment disputes, service complaints, or other booking issues.
You must provide truthful information and supporting information when requested.
You must not pressure customers to withdraw legitimate complaints or falsely claim that a service was completed.
16. Off-Platform Transactions
Providers must not deliberately move QuickConnekt customers off the platform in order to avoid QuickConnekt commissions, subscription obligations, payment processes, or other applicable fees.
This includes requesting or encouraging customers to cancel a QuickConnekt booking and pay directly when the purpose is to avoid applicable QuickConnekt charges.
17. Licences, Permits and Legal Compliance
Providers are responsible for obtaining and maintaining any licences, registrations, permits, qualifications, professional memberships, approvals, insurance, or other requirements applicable to their services.
You must comply with South African law and any other law that applies to the services you provide.
QuickConnekt does not guarantee that a provider is legally authorised to perform a particular service. Customers should make their own assessment where appropriate.
18. Prohibited Services and Conduct
Providers must not use QuickConnekt to advertise or provide unlawful, fraudulent, dangerous, or prohibited services.
Providers must not use the platform to:
- Commit or facilitate fraud.
- Misrepresent qualifications or professional status.
- Sell or provide prohibited goods or services.
- Engage in harassment, threats, or discrimination.
- Steal, misuse, or unlawfully access customer information.
- Manipulate reviews, ratings, bookings, or payment records.
- Attempt to bypass QuickConnekt security or payment systems.
- Perform any activity prohibited by applicable law.
19. Customer Safety and Respect
Providers must treat customers respectfully and must take reasonable steps to provide services in a safe and lawful manner.
Providers must not engage in threatening, abusive, discriminatory, or inappropriate conduct toward customers.
Where a service requires special safety procedures, qualifications, equipment, permissions, or precautions, the provider is responsible for meeting those requirements.
20. Reviews and Ratings
Customers may be able to provide reviews or ratings after receiving a service.
Providers must not manipulate, purchase, fabricate, or improperly influence reviews or ratings.
Providers may respond professionally to legitimate customer feedback but must not threaten or harass customers because of a review or rating.
21. Customer Information
Information about customers obtained through QuickConnekt must only be used for legitimate purposes connected with the booking or service and must be handled responsibly.
Providers must not sell, publish, misuse, or unnecessarily disclose customer information.
Providers must take reasonable steps to protect customer information in their possession.
22. Provider Account Security
Providers are responsible for keeping their login credentials secure.
You must not knowingly allow another person to use your account in a way that misrepresents who is providing the service.
If you believe your account has been compromised, you should contact QuickConnekt support and take reasonable steps to secure your account.
23. Accurate Payout Information
Providers are responsible for ensuring that their payout information is accurate and belongs to the appropriate provider or business.
Incorrect payout information may delay payments or require additional verification.
QuickConnekt is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect information supplied by the provider, subject to applicable law.
24. Account Suspension or Termination
QuickConnekt may restrict, suspend, or terminate a provider account where there is a breach of these rules, the Terms & Conditions, applicable law, or where action is reasonably necessary to protect customers, providers, payments, or the platform.
Depending on the circumstances, restrictions may include removing a service listing, limiting bookings, delaying a payout while a legitimate matter is reviewed, or terminating access to the platform.
25. Outstanding Bookings and Financial Records
Deleting a provider account does not necessarily cancel or erase existing booking, payment, payout, dispute, or accounting records.
QuickConnekt may retain records where reasonably necessary for payments, disputes, fraud prevention, accounting, legal compliance, or other legitimate purposes.
Where an eligible provider payout remains outstanding, account deletion does not by itself remove the underlying financial obligation or booking record.
26. Changes to Provider Rules
QuickConnekt may update these Provider Rules from time to time to reflect changes to the platform, services, payment arrangements, legal requirements, or business practices.
Where appropriate, material changes may be communicated through the platform or other reasonable means.
27. Relationship With Other Policies
These Provider Rules should be read together with the QuickConnekt Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Cancellation & Refund Policy, and other applicable policies.
If there is a conflict between these Provider Rules and the Terms & Conditions, the Terms & Conditions will generally govern unless a specific written agreement states otherwise.
28. Support and Complaints
Providers should contact QuickConnekt support when they need assistance with a booking, payment, customer complaint, account issue, or other platform matter.
Providers should provide accurate information and cooperate with support requests so that issues can be resolved efficiently.
29. Contact
If you have questions about these Provider Rules or your responsibilities as a QuickConnekt provider, please contact QuickConnekt through the support or contact channels made available on the platform.
